For decades, Nasti Habits has been the unmistakable voice and larger-than-life frontman of Chicago hard rock institution Diamond Rexx. Now, he’s tearing up the rulebook and stepping into something darker, heavier, and entirely his own.

More than a name change, Nasti XX represents a reinvention. It’s a chance to move beyond the expectations of the past while keeping the attitude, danger, and defiance that have always been at the heart of Nasti’s music. XX is the vehicle for that next chapter: a new band, a new sound, and a new identity built without the boundaries of what came before.

For XX, Nasti has joined forces with guitarist, songwriter, and producer Dee J Nelson (Dope, Death Pop Radio) to build the project’s sound from the ground up. Nelson serves as the project’s primary writer and producer, bringing a modern edge to Nasti’s unmistakable voice and personality.

That new direction comes to life on XX’s forthcoming six-song EP Kill This..., a collection that pushes into darker and more aggressive territory while retaining the swagger and attitude that have defined Nasti’s career.

Leading the charge is the new single “Get A Life,” an unapologetic statement of intent and the first real glimpse into the world of XX.

The result is music that draws from hard rock, metal, punk, and industrial textures while remaining raw, confrontational, and unapologetic. It’s familiar enough to carry Nasti’s DNA, but twisted into something new.
