Just who is Dee J Nelson?

Dee J Nelson - Chicago Hard Rock Guitarist of recording artist Death Pop Radio, author of guitar instructional series "Monster Power Chords" & "Lead Guitar DNA". Dee J's shreddy, grungy  goodness and song writing skills are most notably on full display on the Death Pop Radio 2023 release "Medieval Electric" and 2021 self titled release "Death Pop Radio". This debut release featured the single "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em" which broke into the Billboard Rock Indicator Chart top 100, peaking at #89. Dee is also featured on the 2014 LP "Blood Money" from industrial metal rockers Dope as well as Instrumental albums It's Alive! (2012) and Zero (2017). As a studio musician Dee has appeared on many recordings including Armalyte recording artist The Joy Thieves, I Ya Toyah, Spyder Baby, and more. Since 2006 Dee has been writing music for all types of media including The Dude Perfect Show, King of the Road, websites, video games, and other TV & Film and film placements. Dee  has been teaching basic to advanced guitar & music theory lessons for 20 years. and has been featured in Guitar World and Guitar Player Magazines. 

DEATH POP RADIO's self-titled debut album was released on May 7th, 2021 and is now available worldwide through Dark Star Records. The first single from the album "Rock 'em Sock 'em" launched into the Billboard/BDS Mainstream Rock Indicator Chart top 100 at #89 and continues to climb. 2023 saw the 2nd release from the band entitled "Medieval Electric". This new album marks a new synth-industro direction for the band. With their raw and driving rhythms and sing-along style hooks, Death Pop Radio's sound sits comfortably somewhere between Kings X and White Zombie. Add in a sprinkle of industrial sound design and 80's synth pop and you have a new unique sound that separates Death Pop Radio from the rest. The response has been nothing short of overwhelming...
